Privacy and cookies policy

Please read this policy carefully as it contains important information on who we are and how we use your personal data, including cookies on the Swarovski Foundation Creatives for Our Future website. 

The Swarovski Foundation is committed to protecting your personal information and making every effort to ensure that your personal information is processed in a fair, open and transparent manner.

We are a “data controller” for the purposes of the Data Protection Act 2018 and the EU General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679. This means that we are responsible for and control the processing of your personal information.
 
Your personal data

The Swarovski Foundation collects information from you when you interact with us directly as part of the Creatives For Our Future application and grant process.

If you have used the Swarovski Foundation Creatives for Our Future website to opt-in to receive our Swarovski Foundation newsletter, we will also gather your basic contact personal information.

We also use “cookies” to help our site run effectively.

Grant applications

​With your explicit consent, we will collect, handle and store personal data about you for the purposes of processing your application for a grant from the Swarovski Foundation or for allocating such grant. The reason we are collecting this information is for the legitimate interests of the organisation, and we will only collect personal data that is relevant to the purpose of assessing the grant applications or awarding the grant moneys.

We ask that, during the course of the application/grant process, all applicants refrain from providing us with any sensitive personal data (also known as special category data): racial or ethnic origin; political opinions; religious or philosophical beliefs; trade-union membership; health or sex life; biometric or genetic data. This information is not necessary for us to carry out our purposes and will be deleted immediately if received.

If you are not successful in your application for a grant, we will delete your personal information within six months of the date of the application closing.

If you are successful in your application for a grant, we will hold your personal information in a secure place for a period of at least six years.

We will review our retention periods of the information we hold about you on a regular basis.

Any personal information held by the Swarovski Foundation is held securely and in compliance with applicable laws. We have put information security measures in place to ensure that our staff look after your information including:

• ensuring that all personal data is held on a password-protected server;
• ensuring that only a limited number of staff have access to your personal data;
• training staff in their data protection responsibilities; and
• protecting your personal information from improper access, use, alteration, destruction and loss.

You have the right to access, update, restrict, remove or correct your personal information held by us at any time, and you also have the right to apply for a copy of information held by the Swarovski Foundation about yourself by writing to the contact details outlined below.

Swarovski Foundation newsletter

If you have given your explicit consent (ie opted in) to receive our Swarovski Foundation Newsletter, we will also gather your personal information to contact you about our work. The Swarovski Foundation will retain this information in a secure location.

After you have opted in to receive the newsletter, we will contact you once a year to ensure you want to keep receiving such communications from us. You can opt out of receiving our newsletter at any time by writing to the contact details outlined below.

We use Google Analytics to collect information about how people use the website in order that we can improve the experience of our visitors.
